Throwback to a graphic journalism short story that Throwback to a graphic journalism short story that was published in BIG FISH magazine in March 2008. As the financial crisis in Greece started kicking into high gear, I was sent on an assignment by BIG FISH magazine's editor to witness, interview and cover an event held by Klimaka, a homeless support NGO, at Klafthmonos Square in Athens. The event was a public sleep-out on one of Athens' most central squares and it was meant to raise awareness on the rise of homelessness in Greece's capital, but certain politicians did not turn up, despite public pledges. The illustrated article turned into a graphic journalism short story that blended my ongoing practice: autography, cultural memory, and sociopolitical tensions.
